Parsons Mead School

Chris has joined local parents and councillors in resisting plans to develop the Parsons Mead school site in Ashtead, and instead has called on the Governors to sell the school to education company Cognita, which is headed by former Chief Inspector of Schools Chris Woodhead.

"I do not want to see a local school site come under development pressure when there are people who are ready and willing to take it over and run the school themselves. I will do everything I can to encourage all of those involved to reach an agreement that will preserve Parsons Mead as a school for the future."
