A shop for the hospital sites?

Chris has met representatives of English Partnerships, the Government agency responsible for the sale of the remaining hospital sites, to discuss plans for a small shop to serve the new developments at Manor Park, Livingstone Park and Clarendon Park. Also at the meeting were representatives of local residents in the area and of the Borough Council.

"I have believed for a long time that the hospital sites were very badly designed, and that the area lacks a community focus. Getting a local shop into the area would go some way to improving the situation. I am optimistic, based on our discussions, that the proposal for a shop is likely to move ahead in the near future."
