Good news on the hospital sites

Chris has been in touch with the new developers of the Epsom Hospital Cluster and is delighted by their confirmation that plans for a local centre on the Horton site will now go ahead as soon as possible.

"I have been campaigning for some time for an early start to the plans for local shops to serve the hospital sites," says Chris, "so this is good news for local residents. The lack of a local centre has been a major problem for residents on Manor Park, Clarendon Park and Livingstone Park - and hopefully this will now be quickly rectified. However I remain concerned about the impact of the planned development of West Park and St Ebbas on the local area, and it will be particularly important for the developers and the County to ensure that the whole area is better served by public transport."
