Over 70 Epsom and Ewell older residents had fun at the Golden Days tea party at St Joseph’s Church Hall in Epsom,  hosted by Chris Grayling’s charity of the year, Age Concern Epsom and Ewell to celebrate their 70th anniversary.  Chris Grayling, the Mayor of Epsom and other local councillors (who provided sponsorship)  enjoyed the afternoon tea and joined in the fun including playing the human fruit machine, knocking down tin cans, tombola  and raffle.

Entertained by The Downsmen a local barbershop choir, the party goers very much appreciated the chance of a get together and a chat.  Many of them are not able to go out very often and so a change of scene very much lifts their spirits – transport to and from the venue provided by Age Concern volunteers crowned this community event and made it an afternoon to remember.
