Chris visited Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Epsom to see how car rental and car club companies like Enterprise are now becoming part of a local transport and mobility solution.

Even in areas of high vehicle ownership such as Surrey, car rental businesses such as Enterprise are essential to support people who don’t have access to a vehicle or when their own vehicle is unavailable, such as during a repair. Enterprise then becomes a vital link, working with other local service providers such as repairers, dealers and body shops as well as major insurance companies to ensure continuity of mobility.

With a fleet comprising of many different types of vehicle, including many hybrid options, vans and executive cars, Enterprise is also essential for local businesses looking to keep employees mobile for vital business trips.

During his visit, Chris also met branch manager Jack Turner and his team of six staff who manage the location. He additionally learned about the company’s award-winning and inclusive Management Training Programme, which provides opportunities for graduates from more than 100 universities across the country.

Chris said, “It’s important for MPs to have a good knowledge of the businesses in their constituency, and the local Enterprise branch is a very successful part of an important national chain and international brand. I was impressed by the scale of the operation as well as by Enterprise’s move into car clubs, which I believe will be increasingly popular in areas like Epsom and Ewell. It’s initiatives like this that will play a central part in what I expect to be a mobility revolution in the coming years.”
