Chris met with the University of the Third Age local leaders for their annual meeting.  He updated them on local plans, including developments regarding the future of Epsom Hospital, Zone 6 and planning in Epsom & Ewell.

The University of the Third Age, or U3A as it is known, is an education innovation of the 1980s. It’s not a bricks and mortar university, but an organization for “learning in leisure” for those who are retired or semi-retired. The U3A is a national institution and a registered charity.

The Epsom and Ewell U3A was formed in 1988 and, with currently about 870 members, is a very friendly and active organisation. We offer social, cultural and study opportunities as well as coach outings, theatre visits and holidays, all the groups and activities are run for the members, by the members.
